Septa, a talented artist from Tabanan, came across linocut when he was a teenager and is now a master in this very rare art in Bali. Linocut is a printmaking technique similar to woodcut but instead uses a sheet of linoleum that adds a sharp graphic quality. The process of carving the lino is so satisfying and tactile that you really feel like you are physically making the image as well as creating it. A therapeutic escape from the digital world!
